Are you looking for the missing piece in your collection of pottery, ceramics, glass or décor?
Pop by or drop me a message, below is just an example of a few types of pieces I've unearthed so far.
The area around Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire is known as the Potteries in the early 18th century it was the ceramic production centre due to the locality of raw materials. This lead to Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Spode, and Minton amongst others setting up factories in the area.
There are hundreds of factories that I can't list here and I always have several pieces in stock, and if you are looking for a particular piece please get in contact and see if I can help. I am particularly drawn to early 20th century pieces (although not exclusively!)
The popularity of Uranium glass is growing rapidly as more people become aware of the mesmerising green glow under UV light.
The eerie and almost-magical fluorescence comes from the use of Uranium Oxide in the glass. The golden (or emerald?) age ran from 1880 through to the 1930s, after which Uranium reserves were prioritised for strategic uses - I know which I prefer though!
I currently have over 30 pieces spanning the whole era, so if you're looking for something in particular please contact me.
West German pottery is becoming highly collectible as it fits in with the mid-century modern vibe and stylish retro interiors décor that is becoming ever more popular.
There are several well-known brands and styles, so whether you're after a fat lava statement vase or a smaller Jasba Keramik or Scheurich piece come and see me!
SylvaC is well-known for the adorable bunnies, dogs and cats in a range of both matte (cellulose) and gloss finishes. However, they produced an enormous range of items including Egyptian wares, bath salts and commemorative mugs!
Each piece is usually marked at the bottom with a mould number, however not all are known due to the huge number produced over the years. If you're a seasoned collector or a newbie who has only just fallen in love with it, get in touch as I regularly have different SylvaC (or related Falconware) pieces.
For collectors and interior designers, I offer a sourcing service.
These are just a few of the collectible pieces available at Wand Vintage.
