Shop Wand Vintage in Exeter
We're busy getting ready to throw open the doors to our first physical shop on Gandy Street.
After sourcing, styling, and packing up orders from my spare bedroom, I’m opening a real shop. On a beautiful street. With a door. And stairs (we’ll get to the stairs...)
If you’re new here: Hi, I’m Charlie, and I run Wand Vintage. I’ve been selling vintage homeware online, at local markets, and sometimes literally from suitcases for a while now. It’s always been about the joy of old things: their texture, their weight, their unexpected beauty.
But there’s something about real-world browsing that can’t be replaced. The way your hand might hover over a vase, or how a mirror looks different in changing light. So, I’ve found a little spot in Exeter to turn into a space where you can come, see, touch, and talk about vintage things in person.
Renovation realness
The unit is on the first floor on Queens Walk, right in the heart of Gandy Street's beautiful indie and vintage shopping district.
It’s light-filled, airy, and has all the charm of an old building I was secretly hoping for.
We’ve been sanding, painting, scrubbing, and filling, buying and restoring antique furniture, surrounded by boxes of glassware and stacks of vintage treasures. It’s a slow process (because I’m very particular about my vision!), but every detail is chosen with the same care I give to each object I source.
There’s still some work to go. We've got floors to lay, shelving to build, walls to patch, and treasures to unpack, but it’s coming together. It's not going to be elistist or out of budget for those day to day shopping trips. But it will be Wand Vintage to its core; calm, tactile, a bit eclectic, and very much open to everyone.
What You’ll Find
Once we open, you can expect a changing mix of:
- Vintage mirrors, ceramics and lighting
- Studio pottery and decorative glass
- Curated small furniture, art and wall pieces
- Beautiful kitschy soft furnishings
- One-off objects that just feel right
- And anything else I love!
You’ll also be able to:
- Browse slowly
- Ask about sourcing something specific
- Chat about the weird teapot you inherited
- Pick up online orders in person
Where to find us
First Floor, Gandy Street, Exeter
We're tucked just above the cobbles, up one flight of stairs in one of Exeter’s most characterful little streets. Our door is right opposite the Cavern. Keep an eye out for the sign, or just follow the vintage vibes.
Soft Launch: 14th June
We’ll be gently opening the doors on Saturday 14th June.
No big party (just yet anyway!), but you'll enjoy a quiet welcome, with a friendly face, good tunes, and a room full of characterful objects waiting to meet their next home.

If you're further afield, don’t worry — the online shop’s not going anywhere. But now, there's a real-world corner of Wand Vintage too.
